Gijsen Advies and BCO Fire Prevention have become part of Sansidor!

26 April 2021

After an initial exploration, nice conversations and an intensive period of elaborations, we will join forces: Gijsen Advies (Gijsen Advice) and BCO Brandpreventie (BCO Fireprevention) will become part of Sansidor. The fire prevention and water activities fit in seamlessly with Sansidor’s TIC activities and fit perfectly within the Sansidor’s Buy and Build. Together. -Strategy. Joining a TIC network from BCO Brandpreventie en Gijsen Advies, but as independent companies, and with the great involvement of Henk and Mark, fits exactly in the desire to enter the next phase as the company. Focused on growth and development. Great added value for the customers, promising for the employees and a desirable step as entrepreneurs!

I wrote an article about it before – https://bit.ly/3vbshqj– companies are like people and an acquisition is like a relationship. This is how this exploration has also started. Sansidor was created as a TIC network from the ambition to grow by adding companies in the testing, inspection and certification sectors to its portfolio. In this way, rapid growth can be achieved, but we do prefer a form in which the companies retain a lot of their own identity and often the selling entrepreneur(s) maintains a form of involvement. With this mission in mind, Henk and Mark – the owners – were approached while enjoying the proverbial cup of coffee and with the question whether an exploration of joining was appropriate. The flirting had begun. A simple question, but an answer that has many considerations.

Henk and Mark have built up a great company. With a beautiful footprint and respected name as a water (legionella) research and inspection agency. From which BCO Brandpreventie has emerged over the years, with as main branch the control and adjustments of small extinguishers and emergency lighting. The conversation came at the right time. Like many entrepreneurs, there comes a time in your career when the choice comes to grow independently or join an organization.

Within the Sansidor formula in which companies are added but there is no hard line with regard to integration or adaptation of a working method, more and more connections were found and the feeling was good. This would be the party to be able to continue to grow, maintain their own management and also participate financially as a shareholder and at the same time be able to hitch a ride on the growth ambition and the support from Sansidor. It was also appealing to be able to work with other entrepreneurs from the field.

As soon as the feeling was right and the direction clear, there was of course the moment to formalize. Research and deepening, and contracts and coordination. We were given notice of a marriage.

And now the time has come! Gijsen Advies and BCO Brandpreventie are part of Sansidor. Henk and Mark remain involved, also as shareholders, and continue to manage the organization. We will continue to serve customers in there own way and the employees will remain involved from BCO and Gijsen. In the coming period we will look at what support can be offered from Sansidor and we will also look at how we can deploy the fire prevention activities more widely. We are married!

We look forward to the future with great ambition. For questions about the addition of Gijsen Advies and BCO Fire Prevention, please contact Udo Waltman. But we are also happy to help you if you are interested in or if you are exploring to add a related inspection company or laboratory to Sansidor. Who knows where that flirtation could lead… ..
